What Is Microdermabrasion?
MicroExfoliation is a skin-revitalizing treatment that helps repair skin that is damaged from the sun, scars, acne and the unwanted effects of aging. A Derma Tech specialist uses gentle abrasion and vacuum to remove the dead, outer layer.
How Does It Work?
Before your microdermabrasion treatment, your Derma Tech specialist will clean and prepare your skin for the procedure. Then we use a crystal-free Diamond-Tome wand to gently exfoliate the skin with natural diamond chips while vacuuming the dead skin cells away in a clean and controlled manner. Afterward, special serums will be used to help soothe and moisturize your newfound skin. The entire procedure can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
Is It Painful?*
Microdermabrasion isn’t painful; it isn’t even very uncomfortable. Many clients compare the feeling of a microdermabrasion to having sandpaper moved across their skin. You probably will notice more skin sensitivity than usual after the treatment. It’s recommended that you protect your new skin with 30 SPF sunscreen, as well as use a good moisturizer to prevent drying. You may see some redness, but this should fade within a week after treatment.
Am I A Good Candidate For Microdermabrasion?
You’re a good candidate for a microdermabrasion if:
